Well, here I am, my first blog entry. I just got back from Findhorn a couple of days ago. Findhorn is an excellent spiritual community in northern Scotland. It has been there for many years, and is full of caring people trying to live a spiritual community life, growing and healing along the way.
I did the Spiritual Practice course - also wonderful. It was a really good week of meditation, sharing, living in a community, doing some work around the place, doing creative art work and generally soaking up the positive atmosphere in the place.
Now I'm back in the real world - not quite the same I have to say, but my increased positivity and confidence is staying with me so far. Hopefully I'll get back there again soon.

Hi Kristin, I'm going to Findhorn for an Experience Week in August. I'd love to hear about your experiences there and what I might expect. Let me know if you have a chance to write back. - frank
Hi Frank,
Yes, I'm happy to tell you all about it - it was great! I did Experience Week in January, and then Spiritual Practice a couple of weeks ago. Findhorn is a great place, with lots of lovely people, a really magical 'vibe' and beautiful scenery (what more could you want?).
Experience week is a really good group experience - the week involved lots of sharing, both in the group and with one or two others, some art work (collages), dancing (great fun, although I'm not normally really into dancing, but it is a kind of international dancing), walks on the beach, working in the garden and doing cleaning and kitchen duty, some singing, meeting new people, sitting around looking at angel cards… I don't know what your back ground is, but some of it sounded a bit out there to me, and it took me a couple of days to adjust, but really it was great. I'm normally really 'in my head', and it helped me to get more in touch with the rest of me (feelings, body, etc).
Here are some pictures from my experience week if you are interested:

We had our experience week at the Park, but I think it is normally at Cluny (the big old building in some of these pics). Both places are really nice. I came back this time feeling really relaxed and happy. I think I'll keep going back because I like it so much there.
Oh, how are you with feelings? - they often ask you how you are feeling and you have to express it in lots of different ways (as a number, as a colour, as a weather pattern - I also suggested some more creative alternatives… :-)
Hope this helps - feel free to ask about anything else you are interested in.
Kristin.
